Privacy Policy
Short version: We don’t sell or rent your personal data. Static QR codes are generated without tracking. Dynamic QR codes log anonymous scan events so you can see usage. We do not store raw IP addresses.
What we collect
- Static QR codes: no scan logging; only transient caching to serve files.
- Dynamic QR codes: each scan creates an event with timestamp, device class (mobile/desktop/tablet/bot), referer (if provided), optional country, and an IP hash (
SHA-256(salt + IP)). We do not store raw IPs.
- Account data: email, password hash, display name, and settings. Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing.
- Site analytics & logs: aggregate page views and error logs for reliability and abuse prevention.
How we use data
- Operate the generator, short links, landing pages, and dashboards.
- Provide anonymous scan statistics for your dynamic QR codes.
- Prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.
- Improve features and performance.
Sharing
We don’t sell personal data. Infrastructure providers may process minimal technical logs strictly to run the service.
Retention
- Dynamic scan events: retained while the QR code exists. Deleting a QR permanently deletes its associated scan events.
- Accounts: retained while your account exists. You may request account deletion.
- Server logs: short, rolling retention for reliability and security.
Your choices & controls
- Use Static QR for zero scan logging.
- Delete a QR from your Dashboard to purge its scans.
- Delete landing pages you no longer use.
- Contact support to close your account.
Security
We use HTTPS and industry-standard practices. No method is 100% secure—avoid embedding sensitive secrets directly in QR payloads.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for login sessions and to keep you signed in. Optional analytics cookies are minimal and privacy-respecting.
