QRCreate is designed around a simple line: static QR codes should stay simple, and dynamic scan stats should be useful without turning scanners into profiles.

Plain-English summary

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Static QR codes are generated without QRCreate scan tracking. Dynamic QR codes log anonymous events so you can see usage trends. Scan records do not store raw IP addresses.

What we collect

Static QR codes

No QRCreate scan logging. Static QR codes encode the payload directly and do not route through our scan tracker.

Dynamic QR codes

Each scan can create an event with timestamp, device class, referrer if provided, approximate country if available, and an IP hash such as SHA-256(salt + IP). We do not store raw IP addresses in scan records.

Account data

Accounts may include email, password hash, display name, settings, saved QR codes, landing pages, billing/support status, and related dashboard records.

Site analytics & logs

We use aggregate analytics and technical logs to understand performance, prevent abuse, debug errors, and keep the service reliable.

How we use data

Operate the generator, short links, landing pages, dashboards, and support tools.
Provide anonymous scan statistics for dynamic QR codes.
Prevent spam, phishing, malware, abuse, and infrastructure overload.
Improve reliability, performance, usability, and security.
Process account, billing, support, and plan-related features when used.

Retention

Dynamic scan events are retained while the QR code exists. Deleting a QR code permanently deletes its associated scan logs.
Landing pages remain until you delete them or your account is closed.
Account records remain while your account exists, subject to operational, billing, security, and legal requirements.
Server logs use short rolling retention for reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention.

Your choices & controls

Use Static QR mode when you do not need QRCreate scan stats.
Delete a QR code from your Dashboard to purge its scan events.
Delete landing pages you no longer use.
Contact support to request account closure.

Security

QRCreate uses HTTPS and standard security practices. No online system is perfect, so do not embed passwords, private keys, medical records, financial secrets, or other sensitive secrets directly inside QR payloads.

We use essential cookies for login sessions and account features. Analytics and operational measurement are kept minimal and focused on improving the service.
